Singing Sands Star Gaze, Indiana Dunes State Park

Bring a blanket or beach chair and join us on the beach in front of our beach's west parking lot for this annual special event with local astronomers from the Calumet Astronomical Society. Local experts and Naturalists will be on hand with several telescopes to help answer questions and to give periodic constellation talks using laser pointers. Note: This program is weather-dependent. Check the park’s Facebook page for updates and cancellations. Our interpretive programs are designed to entertain and enrich folks of all ages. Children under 12 must have an adult with them at programs. Registration is not required for this program. All our programs are free (unless otherwise noted). They are open to the public after paying the park entrance fee. All our Interpretive programs are listed in Central Time.
