Chestnut Tree Program/Hike

In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, we will be learning more about the American Chestnut tree role in our history. We will be hiking on the Crow Trail at Tuscarora SP and meeting in the Crow Trail parking lot. The hike is 2 miles and moderate in difficulty. We will hike to the Chestnut Grove to learn about the background of this amazing tree and the issues it has been facing over the last 75 years. Pets are welcome but must be leashed.
