Independence Day Weekend, Chain O'Lakes State Park

July 3: 9:00 p.m. Nature’s Fireworks Learn the ins and outs of Indiana’s State Insect. Then grab a jar and join the Naturalist in catching (and releasing) some of these beloved summertime creatures. Meet at the Campground Interpretive Area. (45 minutes) July 4: 9:30 a.m. Patriotic Bike Parade Decorate your bicycles with family-friendly, patriotic gear and peddle up to the Campground Interpretive area for staging at 9:30am to participate in a short bike parade around the campground playground area! Fun for all ages! 1-3 p.m. Patriotic Tie-Dye Fun Bring one white cotton item to the Sand Lake Picnic Area (just across the channel to the left of the beach) and we will provide the patriotic dye colors and rubber bands. Fun for the whole family! We will be selling Chain O'Lakes State Park white T-shirts for you to dye. Cost is $10 each; youth size small- adult size 2 XL. Cash only as supplies last, shirts only sold at the event. July 5: 10 a.m. Wildflowers and Watercolors Meet at the Stanley
