Private Dark Sky Telescope Tour: Shamans and Saints

The Perseids are coming! While the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower is mid-August, meteors can be observed any time from late July through the month of August. As the Earth intersects with the orbit of dust particles left behind by the comet Swift-Tuttle in 1992, visitors will flock to Cherry Springs State Park for a view of the spectacular results. Watch the meteors streak across the sky as you listen to myths and stories surrounding historical beliefs about shooting stars and constellations. Join us at Cherry Spring State Park to take in the splendor of a gold-rated International Dark Skies Park.
