“Pennsylvania Songbirds” is a curriculum for traditional and nontraditional educators alike, that combines science, math, art and English into an exciting package that is sure to engage students. “Pennsylvania Songbirds” uses activities that focus on the birds that we encounter every day at home, at school, or in a state park. This workshop will preview selected activities from the “Pennsylvania Songbirds” curriculum guide with both indoor and outdoor activities. Topics to be explored include bird identification, bird habitat, migration, the Christmas Bird Count, and food webs. Those who attend the workshop will receive a copy of the “Pennsylvania Songbirds” curriculum guide, and those eligible can receive 6 Act 48 Hours. The workshop well be held at Sinnemahoning State Park on Friday July 17th, 2026 from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. There is a $20 fee to attend the educator workshop.
